In a surprising collaboration that defies usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.
The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Material
Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an unique katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Content
This patch also brings the game's latest free story addition, titled "The Mystery." Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
