Esteemed Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Recognized For Parts in Friends and The Middle, Has Died at 60 Years Old.

Stateside actor Pat Finn, who was seen in beloved TV shows such as Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has died at 60 years old.

The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in Los Angeles recently after undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis from 2022 onward, per media reports.

"Pat considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones stated in a statement.

They continued that he had "embraced life completely - with zest and passion".

A Prolific Career on Screen

His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.

He subsequently landed a regular part on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.

He played the part of Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a social organizer known to delegate burdensome jobs to his guests.

In the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous well-known programs, such as:

  • The King of Queens
  • Friends
  • That '70s Show
  • House

He was most recognized for playing the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.

His film credits are "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

Off-Screen Life

Outside of his television work, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.

He was involved with a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.

"He coached, befriended and mentored numerous pupils during his career and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.

In a tribute, fellow actor actor Richard Kind noted there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. A great dad, a great guy," he posted online.

The actor is leaves behind his partner Donna, three children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
