Devoted fans of the pop star are calling for that a individual who leaped a barricade and seized the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip reveals the Australian man pushing past photographers and lunging at Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents showed that he was due to attend court on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Record of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

Many followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the end of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned guards at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's videos.

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten award recognitions, securing a pair for best costume and production design.
