Latest Processing Facility Strike Reveals 'Zero Secure Places in the Russian Far Hinterland'

Ukraine's UAVs have struck the Russian Bashneft facility in the city of Ufa, located approximately 1,400 km from the Ukrainian border, resulting in explosions and a fire, as reported by a source in Ukraine's SBU.

This constitutes the 3rd intelligence far-reaching assault in the region in the last month. These operations demonstrate that there are no safe places in the deep rear of the Russian Federation.

Zelenskyy Calls On US President to Broker Ceasefire in Ukraine

Electricity Repair Operations in Kyiv

Efforts continued on Saturday to recover electricity in the Ukrainian capital, after strikes by Moscow.

Power had been recovered to over 800,000 residents by Saturday and the biggest power firm said the key operations to restore power was complete though partial blackouts continued.

Anti-Aircraft Operations and UAV Interceptions

Ukraine's air defences neutralized 54 of 78 total UAVs from Russia deployed against Ukraine in the dark hours, the air force reported on the weekend.

The Russian defence ministry stated it eliminated forty-two drones over its own soil.

Cuba Denies Claims of Deploying Soldiers to the War

Havana on Saturday rejected US assertions it has sent military personnel to engage in the Ukraine war, while stating officials in Havana "do not have accurate data about Cuban nationals" participating "on their own" or "as part of the armed units of the conflicting parties".

The government department in Havana announced 26 Cuban citizens had been sentenced to jail sentences ranging from five up to fourteen years for participating as mercenaries since last September when reports emerged of Cuban nationals being sent to the battlefield in the conflict.

Surrender Initiative Program Reports Details on Cuban Involvement

The program, a state program that promotes enemy combatants to lay down arms, stated in May: "We reliably know the identities and information of over a thousand individuals who enlisted with the Russian military in recently."

The Cuban foreign ministry said of those who might be participating: "There is no doubt that none of them have the support, commitment, or authorization of the Cuban authorities for their actions."

Relatives of individuals who departed to the Russian Federation in the year told international media at the time that their loved ones had been deceptively recruited through advertisements on social media.
