The City of Angels experienced widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Supporters across the globe united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a team has secured consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.
The procession path concluded at the stadium, where the team emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and Ice Cube driving a Pacific blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.
Pre-Parade Festivities and Player Reactions
Celebrations began prior to the parade, with supporters lighting flares in the roads of the city center on Sunday night.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, spoke directly about the win.

In contrast, Mark Walter received a less warm welcome at the celebration. Video footage from the event seem to depict him taking the stage to a combination of applause and jeers, with jeers interrupting his address.
The World Series acted as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year showed equal or greater support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
